Winter Blast Detroit
The Meridian Health Plan Winter Blast presented by Quicken Loans has come and gone in the city of Detroit. As per usual, it was an event full of fun and joy in Campus Martius Park, centrally located in the Downtown area of Detroit. The event ran from Friday, February 7th and concluded the evening of Sunday, February 9th. If you missed Winter Blast 2014, then you definitely need to make it for Winter Blast 2015. The highlights include ice sculptures, live music, a fantastic beer tent, and more.
In downtown Detroit, there’s only one time that ice skating is 100% free of charge. In order to fully take advantage of that next year, then consider attending Winter Blast 2015. Free ice skating in Detroit was sponsored, yet again, by St. John Providence Health Systems and in order to ensure that everyone had the ability to try free ice skating in Campus Martius for Winter Blast there was an option to rent ice skates. In order for ice skating rentals to take place, the guests of the Winter Blast in Detroit just had to ensure that they had three dollars and in exchange, they could skate until their heart was content.
If ice skating at the Detroit Winter Blast wasn’t your thing, then maybe ice sculptures were. Flagstar Bank sponsored quite possibly one of the most beautiful ice gardens at the 2014 Winter Blast. If you missed the Winter Blast in 2014, be sure to be in Detroit for the 2014 Winter Blast; you’ll be sure to have a great time. The Flagstar Bank ice garden featured beautifully carved and lighted ice sculptures on display for Metro Detroiters to see. Next year, at the 2015 Winter Blast visitors online casino will be able to snap photos of their family and friends on ornately carved and crafted chairs or benches made of solid ice.
If sitting on ice isn’t your thing, and we don’t blame you if it is, then maybe taking a stroll by sculptures of Eskimo families or taking photos with your face in the hole of a plethora of figures made out of ice.
